Classic FR 1500 Series DH Wheels

Shape new lines, set new times and crush the mountain, the FR 1500 is the new standard for DH racing and Freeride. Using the World Championship winning FR 541 rim, Swiss-made Competition butted spokes and the most victorious hub in DH: The new FR 1500's come out of the gate with a spec relied upon more than any other in the Pro Pits.

The rim uses a DH-specific profile designed to increase the impact force needed to pinch a tyre by 17% whilst also better resisting dents, DT's custom alloys and innovative PHR technology come straight from the near-legendary EX 511 and EX 471 models to give class-leading strength and stiffness.

Premium 240 EXP hubs are a DH mainstay and hit the sweet spot between light weight, reliability and ease of servicing, 36 tooth ratchets offer rapid engagement without affecting your suspension or necessitating the use of an active spider.

The new lighter rim design and 240 EXP hubs lead to a massively strong wheelset that still comes in at just 1,928 grams significantly lighter than most DH wheels and both lighter and more forgiving than most DH carbon options.

DH is a discipline where broken spokes are an occasional fact of life which is why DT have specced classic J-bend butted Competition spokes that are easy to locate and replace, handy if you're out in Morzine when something gets stuck in them.

Need to know:

• Front wheels come in Either 20 or 15 mm BOOST spacing
• Rear wheels come in either DH 157 mm or BOOST 148 mm standards
• Rear wheels come with a SRAM XD freehubs fitted as standard. The 157 mm rear come with an additional Shimano HG freehub in the box for compact DH cassettes, the 148mm BOOST rear wheels come with an additional MICRO SPLINE freehub for 12-speed Shimano use.
• When bought as a pair they will include tubeless rim tape and valves.
